BBQ Ribs

  • 4-10 pieces Country Pork Ribs or 2-4- Racks Beef Ribs or 2-3 Lbs Short Ribs
  • 1/2 Bottle BBQ sauce (your favorite kind)
  • 1 Cup Water

In shallow baking dish, mix well BBQ sauce and water. Put pork in and coat well on all sides. Cover and let set in refrigerator 2 hours or overnight (the longer, the better). Place on top rack on hot grill and cook until done, turning over and brushing on BBQ mixture occasionally. Note: Keeping cover on grill helps to cook.

Steak

Steak
  • Steak
  • 3-4 Tbs Margarine
  • Green Pepper, sliced
  • Onion, sliced
  • Mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 Cloves Garlic minced or finely chopped
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • A-1 If Desired

In foil, combine margarine, peppers, onion and mushrooms. Heat on middle or top rack. Sprinkle steak with salt & Pepper to taste and cook on grill until desired doneness, turning once.

Burgers

  • 1 Quarter Pound Burger
  • 1 Sandwich Roll, warmed or grilled
  • Mayonnaise (Optional)
  • Catsup (Optional)
  • 1 or 2 Leaves Lettuce (Optional)
  • 2 Tomato Slices (Optional)
  • 1 Onion Slice (Optional)
  • 2-4 Dill Pickle Slices (Optional)
Cook burger. Spread mayonnaise on top bun, add lettuce, then tomato slices. Put burger on bottom then add onion, pickles and catsup.

Cheeseburger

Add 1-2 slices of cheese. When burger is done, lay slice cheese on top.

Bacon Cheeseburger

Add 1-3 strips cooked bacon. When burger is done, lay slice cheese then warm bacon on top.

BBQ Chicken

  • 4-8 pieces Chicken
  • 1/2 Bottle BBQ sauce (your favorite kind)
  • 1/2 Cup Water

In shallow baking dish, mix well BBQ sauce and water. Put chicken in and coat well on all sides. With meaty side down, cover and let set in refrigerator 2 hours or overnight (the longer, the better). Place on top rack on hot grill and cook until done, turning over and brushing on BBQ mixture occasionally. Foil Dinners

There are many ways to vary this old time camping favorite. Just make adjustments according to the taste of each person to be served. Listed ingredients list here is merely a suggested items list.
  • Meat (hamburgers, hotdogs, franks, sausage, chicken, venison, pork, etc.)
  • Unpeeled Potatoes, rinsed and sliced thin
  • Onion, sliced thin
  • Green Pepper, sliced thin
  • Fresh Mushrooms, sliced (or canned mushrooms)
  • Carrots, sliced thin
  • Salt, pepper, garlic powder, all to taste
  • Sticks of Margarine or butter

Rip off foil in large pieces (as many as people you are going to serve). First, place potatoes on foil, then put meat on side of potatoes. Next add other vegetables as desired, season to taste. Now put 3 pats of margarine on top. Fold foil over, roll it to seal it on all sides.  Place foil dinners on 2nd or 3rd rack on BBQ grill (outer part of a charcoal or wood grill so not to burn) Turn every 5-10 minutes until soft inside indicating doneness. Serve hot in foil!

Kielbasa

  • Your favorite Kielbasa
  • Sliced Onions (Optional)
  • Sliced Peppers (Optional)
  • Sliced Mushrooms (Optional)

Grill until hot and splits.

Hotdogs, Franks & Coney's

  • Your Favorite Hot Dogs, German Franks or Coney's
  • Hotdog Buns
  • Ketchup (Optional)
  • Mustard (Optional)
  • Relish (Optional)
  • Chili (Optional)
  • Peanut Oil (Optional if frying)
Cook on a grill on low to medium heat. Add any condiment that might interest you!

Ham Steaks

  • Ham Steak

Place on top rack of grill and cook 3-4 minutes each side or until done.

Pork Chops

Pork Chops, Smoked Pork Pork Steak

Place on top rack of grill and cook 3-4 minutes each side or until done.

Sausage Sub

  • Rope Sausage
  • Italian or other rolls
  • Green Peppers, sliced (Optional)
  • Onions, sliced (Optional)
  • Mushrooms, sliced (Optional)
  • Favorite Spaghetti Sauce (Optional)
  • Shredded Mozzarella Cheese (Optional)
Cut sausage in lengths fitting the rolls.  Place on top rack of grill and cook turning frequently until done. In foil, combine margarine, peppers, onion and mushrooms. Heat on middle or top rack. 

If using sauce, heat in a saucepan or microwave. Put sausage in rolls with veggies and top with sauce and cheese. Can be placed in a 400° oven to melt the cheese.

  • Thinly sliced steak
  • Italian or other rolls
  • Garlic powder (Optional)
  • Pepper (Optional)
  • Green Peppers, sliced (Optional
  • Onions, sliced (Optional)
  • Mushrooms, sliced (Optional)
  • Favorite Spaghetti Sauce (Optional)
  • Shredded Mozzarella Cheese (Optional)
